religion has been a huge part of society, and if it were to be excluded there's obviously no way that the world be the way it is today. who knows how the world would have turned out had religion been excluded from the beginning. religion could have been a catalyst for development of many parts of society, and though it's also possible that religion wasn't a catalyst in any way, it's clear that (again) religion has been a huge part of society since its beginning.
